Do you kiss your partner once a day, once a week, once a month, or less? Do you think you would be more satisfied in your relationship if you kissed more frequently? Less frequently?

How often are other couples having sex?

How often do you lie to your partner? Is honesty really the best way to keep peace in a household?

These are some of the questions you’ll find in the Normal Bar Survey, the groundbreaking international study designed to uncover what “normal” is in relationships and dating.

Created by Chrisanna Northrup, CEO of YOU Got Challenged! Inc., Dr. Pepper Schwartz, a professor of sociology at the University of Washington, and Dr. James Witte, Professor of Sociology and Director of the Center for Social Science Research at George Mason University, the survey and the forthcoming The Normal Bar book (Harmony, February 2013) will help survey participants and readers learn how their “normal” compares to other people around the world.

Survey topics include money, sex, family, happiness, trust, fidelity, children, affection, romance, obsessions, addictions, communication and many more. Every type of relationship is examined.

AOL, Huffington Post, AARP and Reader’s Digest helped facilitate the initial launch of the survey by reaching out to tens of thousands of people in the United States and worldwide.

Now you too can contribute to this growing body of research by taking the Normal Bar Survey. As you go, you’ll be able to see how your relationship behaviors compare to couples around the world. Forward it to your partner, too. Who knows, it might get you kissing more often and add a little sizzle to your love life.

Learn more about the forthcoming book, participate in the “50 Shades of Grey” survey and take Couple Challenges on TheNormalBar.com. Follow the authors on Facebook and Twitter for news about upcoming appearances and fun giveaways.
